Welcome to my website.
I am a Maître de Conférences (Associate Professor) at Enseirb-Matmeca Bordeaux INP. I am also a member of the INRIA CARDAMOM team and of the Institut Mathématique de Bordeaux.
Formerly, I was a Research Associate in the Computational Geoscience and Energy division of the Department of Earth Science and Engineering at Imperial College London. And before that, I was doing my PhD in the GAMMA3 INRIA team.
My research focuses on :
- Mesh adaptation, from theory (error estimates) to algorithms and to software aspects. In particular, I work on adaptation for unsteady problems, and coupling with Reduced Order Models.
- Coastal ocean modelling.
- Aeronautical applications.
- All that in an HPC context, with an aim to deliver usable, high-performance implementations of the methods considered. Lately, I have been involved in Open-Source libraries :
- Mmg, a remeshing library,
- PETSc, the well known scientific computing library, in which Mmg was intergated,
- Firedrake, an automatic FEM framework, relying on PETSc for mesh management and adaptation,
- UHAINA, a new phase-resolving free surface wave model for coastal engineering problems using Mmg,
- NeXtSIM, a sea-ice dynamics model, in which Mmg was intergated.
